Rev. Bobby L. Burdette, 85 years of age, died Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was born in Schrader, W.V., a son of the late William F. Burdette and Donna K. Smith Burdette. He enjoyed working with wood, fishing, and was a retired pastor of Berea Advent Christian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 1:00 P.M., at Berea Advent Christian Church, with Rev. Mike Lupo officiating. Burial will follow in Hagan Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce L. Burdette of Smoaks, one daughter, Ester Wilson (Michael) of Hanahan, and one son David Burdette (Iva) of Ocoee, Fla., two brothers, Kermit Burdette and Steve Burdette, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 26, 2016, from 5 to 7 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville; at other times, friends may call at the residence. Ott Funeral Home in Branchville is assisting the family.
