Branchville
Mr. Raymond R. "Richard" Wimberly, 73 years of age, died Saturday, June 14, 2014. Mr. Wimberly was born in Branchville, a son of the late Raymond C. Wimberly and Carrie Dell McAlhany Wimberly. Mr. Wimberly was retired from Ethyl Corporation in Orangeburg; he served in the U.S. Army as an M.P. ; he was the co- founder of Iris and Richard's Discount in Branchville; was a member of the SCV and a lifelong resident of Branchville.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville, with Rev. Bobby Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by one brother, Gerald V. Wimberly Sr., of Branchville, one step son, Robert R. Berry of Branchville, one nephew, Vic Wimberly, a special friend, Lisa O'Brien, and a number of great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home.
