Robert Hampton Edwins' Obituary
Branchville
Robert Hanpton (Hamp) Edwins,81 years of age, passed away at his residence on December 10, 2015.
He was born in Orangeburg, a son of the late Frank and Virginia Edwins. Mr. Edwins was a retired specialist machinist and a U.S Navy veteran of WWII. Hamp and his wife of 51 years, Minnie, resided in Cordova for 20 years. They felt the call of the ocean in Beaufort, SC, where they would frequently go, with their children, and later their grandchildren, to camp and fish in the salty tides of Hunting Island. More than twenty years ago, their love of the ocean and the beauty of St. Helena Island led them to become permanent residents of Frogmore, SC. Hamp enjoyed not only the sport of fishing, but the sleek lines of a classic automobile, as well as the creative art of building. His love of building and Minnie's magical touch with flowers turned a forgotten and overgrown yard into a into a beautiful display of craftsmanship and design, as far as the eye could see.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Hagan Cemetery in Smoaks ,SC, with Rev. Shawn Hanks officiating. The family will receive friends, after the service, in the social hall of Buckhead Advent Christian Church. The family asks that those bringing food to deliver it to the social hall before the service or to the home of Steve and Shirley Holloway the day before.

Gleavy of Columbia, his children Shirley Holloway (Steve) of Branchville, Thomas Lauren Myers Jr. of Branchville, Edward Warren Myers (Susan) of Smoaks, Larry Walter Myers(Vicky) of Branchville, and Robert Winfred Myers (Donna) of Smoaks.
