Robert Anthony Trafton's Obituary
Branchville,Mr. Robert Anthony Trafton, 47 years of age, took flight from his earthly body on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at MUSC in Charleston. Mr. Trafton was born in Germany, a son of the late Harold A. Trafton and Ursula M. Sasso. Mr. Trafton was the founder and owner of Excel Acoustical Inc. He was an avid pilot and president of the EAA Chapter 1367 New Hawthorne Aviators of Orangeburg. He was also a member of the AOPA. Mr. Trafton served in the United States Army and has been a member of the Branchville community for the past twenty years.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday May 17, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville; the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to time of service.His loving memory will be cherished by his wife, Kristy Trafton of Branchville, his mother, Ursula M. Sasso of N.H., three sons, Robert Trafton Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Branchville, Timothy Trafton of Columbia, and Jonathan Trafton of Branchville, one daughter, Beth Anne Trafton of Branchville, one stepdaughter, Nikki Hutto of Branchville and one stepson, George Hutto III of ALB, two brothers, Michael Trafton and wife Cheryl, of N.C., and Steve Trafton and wife Dana, of Bamberg, one sister Bernadette Trafton of N.H, three grandchildren, Nathan and Cameron Lutz and Olivia Trafton, one niece, five nephews, and numerous friends.Mr. Trafton is preceded in death by one brother, Marcus Trafton, and one grandson, Aidien Riley Trafton.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the charity of one's choice.Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Trafton, 4887 Heritage Hwy., Bamberg.
