Ronald A. Judy's Obituary
Ronald A. Judy, Sr, 78, of Bamberg, S.C., died January 23rd, 2026, at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston, S.C.
Born March 14, 1947, Ronald served in both the US Army and the US Navy. He enjoyed cooking and would often make his "famous" pies for family and loved ones. Old TV westerns and "real-life" gun fights as a Raylrode Daze gunfighter kept him entertained in his younger years.
After serving in the Army and Navy, Ronald worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, as a police officer for the Town of Branchville and at Bamberg Detention Center.
Ronald is survived by his ex-wife Patricia Judy, two sons - Ronnie (Christy) Judy and Jeff (BettyJo) Judy, both of Bamberg, S.C. He was blessed with eight grandchildren: Jeff Jr, Drew, Katherine, Mattthew, Cape, Beckilyn, Ashlyn and Katelyn. Additionally, he was a proud great-grandfather to Jeff, Eleanor, and Killian. He is also survived by his sister Cheryl (Eddie) Johnson of Bluffton, S.C. and brother, Luder (Wanda) Judy of Summerville, S.C and many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his mother Corrine Marshall, father Luder Judy, Sr. and twin brother Donald Judy. and two sisters, Tanya Richburg and Natalie Whetsell.
Funeral services will be held at Hunters Chapel Baptist Church at 9423 Hunters Chapel Rd, Bamberg, S.C., 29003 on Wednesday January 28, 2026. Viewing will be at 1pm with funeral service at 2pm and interment in the church cemetery immediately following the church service.
