Branchville
Mrs. Rose Marie "Bootsie" Norton (Brown), 80 years of age, died Wednesday December 6, 2017, at her residence. Bootsie was born in Summerville, a daughter of the late Edgar Fredrick Brown and Alma Lucille Heaitley Brown. She was a devoted member of the Branchville Christian Church, a Sunday school teacher, member of the woman's circle. She also enjoyed helping with VBS crafts, playing the piano, being a past Girl Scout leader, canning and gardening. She dearly loved the children of her church and spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday December 10, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at the Branchville Christian Church, with Rev. Wayne Manning officiating.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vernon D Norton Sr., 4 children, Daniel Ethan Norton (Catherine) of Beach Island, Melody Summers (Sheckie) of Branchville, Darlene Horne (Doug) of St. George, and Dell Norton Jr. (Robin) of Branchville, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one brother, Edgar F. Brown Jr. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Branchville Christian Church, P.O. Box 36 Branchville, SC 29432.
