Thomas D Looper Sr.'s Obituary
Bowman
Thomas D. Looper Sr., a.k.a. "Bushwhacker," passed away on August 26, 2017 at his residence. He was a son of the late Jim F. Sr. and Helen T. Looper of Bowman. Tommy was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Bowman.
He is survived by sons Donnie (Lisa) Looper and Chad (Amanda) Looper of Branchville .and daughter, Samantha Roberson, of Columbia, SC, three grandchildren, Tyler Looper (Dana Fogle),Chandler and Cayleigh Looper, brother Jerry (J.D.) (Donna) Looper, sister Debra Jennings, sister in law Gwen Looper, nieces Kristen Wimberly and Beth Berry, nephews Jerry Looper, Brad Looper, Fankie Steele, Thad Wimberly , Mark and Eddie Easterlin. He is also survived bya special cousin Jerry (Hazel) Smith of Easley, SC, several great nieces and nephews, and special pet, Fred.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Jim (Butch) Looper Jr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 28, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Bowman, with Rev. Corey Leggett, Rev. Bobby Etheridge and Thad Wimberly officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Mark and Eddie Easterlin, Brad, Tripp, Jarrett and Jonathon Looper and Hunter Wimberly.
The family will receive friends at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church on Sunday, August 27th, from 5-7:00 PM. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Chad and Amanda Looper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt Tabor Baptist Church cemetery fund c/o Donna Lucas, 1183 Flatwoods Road, Reevesville, SC, 29471. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Boley Wimberly, Vivian Bair, Grove Park Hospice, and all others who have given support and help during his illness.
