Branchville
Virginia K. Summers, 84 years of age, died Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Palmetto Health Richland, in Columbia.
Mrs. Virginia was born December 26, 1926, in Blackville, a daughter of the late Albert and Cora L. Koon; she grew up in Williston. She was a member of the Branchville Christian Church. She loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., at the Branchville Christian Church, with Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. Burial will be at Cattle Creek Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Shellie Vernon Summers of Branchville, two sons, Brooks (Mary) Summers of Summerville, and David (Kay) Summers of Branchville, one daughter, Joye (Dale) Summers Gibson of Laurinburg N.C., six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call at the home of David and Kay Summers, 3356 Bowman Branch Highway, Branchville.
