Walter Terry SummersIt is with a heavy heart that the family of Walter Terry Summers of Branchville, SC announce his unexpected passing on August 01, 2025. Terry was a great father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was 65 years old.
Terry was born on March 28, 1960, to the late David Shellie and Alice (McAlhany) Summers of Branchville. He is survived by his son Brandon "BT" (Ashley) Summers of Branchville, and Tiffany (Randall) Elliott of Branchville, grandchildren Walker Summers of Newport, Tenn, Bransley and Jensen Summers of Branchville, Arianna, Shellie, and Landon Elliott of Branchville.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Bickley and Maudell Dukes, and two brothers Cleo and Vernon Summers, surviving siblings include Eva (Walter) Hall of Williston, SC, Ruby (Clifford) Hefner of Hickory, NC, Marion "Sheckie" (Melody) Summers of Branchville, James Allen (Brenda) McAlhany of St George, SC, and Darlene (Lynn) Buck of Cordova, SC. He had many nieces and nephews.
He was a dedicated employee of Branham Roofing and Construction for 26 years. Prior to roofing he worked at Cox Wood Preserving. He was a hard worker and always on the go. He enjoyed cutting everyone's grass and working on his mud truck and track. He cared deeply for his family and would do anything for anyone.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, August 4, 2025, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, SC. Funeral will be held at Branchville Christian Church 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 5,2025. Followed by graveside service at Cattle Creek Cemetery
The family will also receive friends at the home of Brandon and Ashley Summers, 331 Fair Oaks Ct. Branchville, SC.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to carry on the sport of mud racing amongst our youth.
