Warren "Block" Lucious Shieder's Obituary
Warren "Block" Shieder, 63 of Branchville, entered eternity surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.Warren was born on March 14, 1961 in Orangeburg to the late David Shieder and Pearly C. Shieder of Branchville. He was employed for many years at Shieders Small Engines in St. George and later at Zachary Construction. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He graduated from Branchville High School in 1979 and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.He enjoyed working on the family farm, beach and river family gatherings, and riding the golf cart in the afternoons with his lab, Maverick. Warren had a way with his words and spoke his mind, but he loved with his whole heart.Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Karen, a son Jared Warren (Savannah), grandson Jack who he adored, mother, Pearly Shieder, brother Wayne Shieder (Stephanie), sister Wendy S. Judy (Kevin), brother-in-laws Richard Valentine (Michelle), Marvin Valentine (Joanne), sister-in-laws Cindy Strock and Tamara Weeks (Timmy) and a number of nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle "Block".The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00am at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Bowman SC.The family would like to thank Grove Park Hospice and their staff for their care and support. The family would also like to thank the special friends who have stood by him throughout this challenging time.Memorials can be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church ? Children's Playground Fund.
