William "Billy" Madison Warren's Obituary
Branchville
William "Billy" M. Warren, 89 years of age, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Billy was born in Branchville, a son of the late Raymond M. Warren and Annie Maye Reeves Warren. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army Signal Corps. He retired from Southern Railway System as a sergeant of police after 34 years. He was a Master Mason and the widower of the late Bobbie Weathers Warren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 9, 2016, at 3:00 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. Burial will be in Ott Cemetery, in Branchville. The family will receive friends one hour before services. Other times, friends may call at the residence. Pallbearers will be Dr. Tom Howdieshell, Matt Stokes, Travis Stokes, Ronnie Weathers, Danny Weathers, and Shawn Fairey.
He is survived by one daughter, Rhetta W. Howdieshell, and husband Dr. Tom of Albuquerque NM, Matt Stokes (Tiffany), of Providence, Travis Stokes, of Branchville, and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Sybil "Dimp" Warren Edwards, and Etta Maye Warren Weathers.
