Mr. William "Bill" Campbell, 84 years of age, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Campbell was born in Indiana, a son of the late Cecil and Ruby Campbell. He was a retired 1st Sgt in the United States Marine Corps. He served two tours in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Campbell enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and riding through the country.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., at Tabernacle Cemetery, with Rev. Larry Williams officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maurice W. Campbell, one son, Kenny Campbell (Sharon) of Smoaks, one daughter in law, Sandy Campbell, of Summerville, one sister, Lois Beaver of Noblesville, IN, one brother, Gene Campbell of West Phalli, IN. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Colby Allen Campbell, Chelsea Nicole Campbell, Kristen Alexis Campbell, and Kaitlyn Michelle Campbell. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Campbell and Richard Campbell.
The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Smoaks. At other times friends may call at the residence.
