William Heyward Herndon's Obituary
Bowman
Mr. William Heyward Herndon Jr., 51 years of age, died Tuesday March 4, 2008. Mr. Herndon was born in Charleston. He was a member of The Bowman First Baptist Church, he was a Mason, and a lifelong resident of the community.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday March 7, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at The First Baptist Church in Bowman, with the Rev. Ryan Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Rigby Cemetery near Bowman. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before services.
Survived by his loyal pet and companion, Scooby, his parents, William "Billy" Herndon Sr., and Jane "Jennie" Herndon of Bowman, Two sons, William "Trey" Herndon III and wife Melissa of St. George, and Wendell Herndon and wife Trina of Bowman, two daughters, Candi Craig and Fiancé Mitchell of Bowman, and Brittney Herndon of Holly Hill, two sisters, Debbie "Beb" Fleet and Husband Terry of Bowman, and Janice Simpkins of Orangeburg, 12 grand children, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. at The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and at other times, the home of William "Billy" Herndon Sr. 436 Dibble St. Memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Bowman, and The Prospect Southern Methodist Church.
