William M Porterfield's Obituary
Branchville
Mr. William M. "Bill" Porterfield, 75 years of age, died Saturday, January 28, 2012. Mr. Porterfield was born in Comer, GA., a son of the late Clifford and Delma P. Porterfield. He was a member of Branchville Christian Church, Branchville Masonic Lodge, #110 AFM, Omar Shriners, and the Branchville Fire Department; he loved fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 30, 2012, at 2:00 P.M., at the Branchville Christian Church, with Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before services. Burial will follow at Ott Cemetery, in Branchville.
Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gloria W. Porterfield of Branchville, three daughters, Elaine Smoak (Earl) of Bowman, Debbie Chavis (Johnny) and Angie W. Smoak, both of Branchville, one sister, Willene Palmer (Bill) of Comer, GA., one granddaughter, Shannon Smoak, three grandsons, Ethan Smoak, Justin and Dylan Chavis, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. Memorials may be made to Branchville Christian Church, P.O. Box 36, Branchville, SC, 29432.
