Branchville
Mr. Willie J. (Bud) Brabham Jr., 81 years of age, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Dorn VA Hospital in Columbia. Mr. Brabham was born in Bamberg, a son of the late Willie J. Brabham Sr., and Emma Bunch Brabham. He was a retired USAF Staff Sgt., a member of Berea Advent Christian Church, a past deacon and president of the men's fellowship. He was a member of Branchville Masonic Lodge, # 110 A.F.M. He was retired from Green Woods Mills and loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., at Berea Advent Christian Church, near Smoaks, with Rev. Mike Lupo, officiating. Burial will be in Hagan Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Lyons Brabham, two sons, Ronnie Brabham, of Branchville, and Billy Brabham of Charleston, one daughter, Teresa B. Canada (Brian) of Branchville, two brothers, Frank Brabham of Walterboro, and Harry Brabham of MS., four sisters, Mabris Valentine of Branchville, Dot Redmond of Barnwell, Betty Mejias of Leesville, Annette Belk of TN., five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville; at other times, friends may call at the residence. The family suggests that memorials be made to the D.A.V., PO Box 145550, Cincinnati, OH, 45250. Online condolences can be sent to www.ottfh.com
