Woodrow Thomas Ellisor's Obituary

Mr. Woodrow Thomas Ellisor, 78, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Mr. Ellisor was born in Columbia and was the son of the late Daniel Leroy Ellisor and Thelma Hoover Ellisor. Mr. Ellisor served in the United State Navy Seabees during August 1966 to November 1969 severing in Vietnam War. During his time in the military, he earned multiple badges and awards. After the military, he worked as a steel erector for 45 years for Daniels Construction, Falcon Steel Service, Dixiana Steel Company, and plus owned and operated Eagle Steel Service.
Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022, at 5pm - 7pm at Covenant Baptist Church 3535 Delree Street, West Columbia. A military graveside service will be Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 10am at the Ott Cemetery, Cemetery Drive, Branchville, SC 29432. Serving as pallbearers: Brian Jones, Matthew Crews, Lee Ellisor, Michael Day, Jackson Ingram, and Michael Jones.
He is survived by his daughters Vicki Ellisor Jones, Gaston, Becky (Dan) Ellisor Crews, Gilbert, and Tammy Ellisor Broome. He has a granddaughter Alisha (Garret) Hentz, grandsons Brian Jones and Matthew Crews, and granddaughter Brittany Gregory Tevepaugh. He has great-grandchildren Nathan Coley Renner, Raylee Ashton Renner, and Waylon Michael Hentz. He is survived by sisters Margaret (Johnny) Robinson and Judy (Wayne) Robinson both of Kershaw, SC, brothers Ernest (Reta) Ellisor of Gaston and Dell (Brenda) Day of Cayce. He as multiple nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by wife Joye Wimberly Ellisor.

Also, Thank You to the Prisma Health Hospice Columbia caregivers, especially Emil Mitchell and Mallory Wilcox.
