Wyatte K. Wimberly's Obituary
Branchville,
Mrs. Wyatte Kizer Wimberly, 81 years of age, died Monday July 20, 2009 at TRMC in Orangeburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy A. Wimberly, of 60 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 22, 2009 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Gray, and Rev. Bobby Etheridge and Rev. Kermit Shrawder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Holliday, Beth Berry, Thad Wimberly, Kent Kizer, Brian Kizer, Mike Kizer, and Ron Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Summers, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Metts, and members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Wimberly was born May 16, 1928 in Summerville, a daughter of the late Judson Kizer Jr. and Alma W. Kizer. She was a graduate of St. George High School in 1944. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, a member of the Senior Adult Sunday school class, a member of the Hattie Gardener Missionary Society, and the recording secretary of the church for a number of years. She was a past advisor for the SC Junior Angus Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Twila W. Holliday (Ryan) of Belton, and Patsy L. Wimberly of Branchville, one son, Barry Troy Wimberly (Eugenia) of Eutawville. Three grandchildren, Pamela H. Moore, Andy Holliday and Thomas Troy Wimberly. One great grandson, Ethan Moore. One brother Furman D. Kizer of Reevesville, one sister, Barbara Patrick of St. George. Two sister-in-laws, Cherry Kizer of Reevesville, and Libbie Kizer of GA. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne Wimberly Metts, two brothers, Stafford E. Kizer, and Arden Kizer.
