What you didn't hear about Janie Lee (Janie Lee when I met her just before our teen years only to call her Lee later) at her funeral. We were high school boyfriend-girlfriend. She was good looking, athletic (a dancer), fun to be with, always up for excitement. We dated, off and on, mostly on, from 13 to about 19 or so. Had a great time. rode the dirt roads around Bville, eating boiled peanuts, stopping for plum fights, swimming in the river, cruising through Piggy Park to be seen and eat, and Calhoun's for PBR, ski-ing over at Santee, or Pete Stokes would put his boat in and the four of us would ski the Edisto - Pete, Wendy Weathers, Lee and me. Great times. Great friends - in the 60's. RIP Lee.
I met Lee after she joined the Orangeburg Does Organization several years ago. She was such a sweet person. I am sorry to learn of her passing, and wanted to extend my sympathy to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Lee fought a long, hard battle and is at rest and peace now with the Lord and is healed of all suffering and pain. Carolane Bagnal Leysath
Lee was my friend and I will miss her. We shared many meals and fun trips. I know she is with God and will suffer no more. God bless you, Lee.
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear loved one. May you be comforted by the scripture at Revelation 21:4; And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. For more comfort please visit our website: www.jw.org and view the video; Is There Hope for the Dead? Click publications then videos
