I read about Mrs. McAlhany and I am truly sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences and some words of comfort from God's Word, the Bible.
Our loving God and Creator did not intend for us to die, so he purposes to reunite us with our dear loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. (Job 14:14,15; Isaiah 26:19; John 5:28,29) Knowing that you will see your dear loved one again will hopefully bring you some solace during your time of loss.
To help you get through this difficult moment, our merciful God, Jehovah, is there for you. (Psalms 9:9,10; 145:18,19; 1 Peter 5:7) So, draw ever closer to and lean heavily upon "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation."--2 Corinthians 1:3,4.
